Google detects "bad" websites A virus or a fist of iron

Apparently google and browser developers have collaborated to create a "hacked website" scanner that marks websites as "bad" if they have been hacked. Even if the website is fixed or marked in error, it is very difficult to get the "bad" site un-marked.
A form has to be filled out and a maybe 2 week turn-around is promised.

I find that most users of the internet panic when they see one of these warnings. And it is very hard to get around it.

clicking on the white button causes the following :

clicking on the ignore warning button causes the following :
Nothing

I think this may warrant a class action suit .... google gives you no decent place to send a plea for help.

Indian people India has a diverse population of a billion-plus people

India's population has grown by 181 million people over the past decade to 1.21bn, according to the 2011 census.

More people now live in India than in the United States, Indonesia, Brazil, Pakistan and Bangladesh combined.

India is on course to overtake China as the world's most populous nation by 2030, but its growth rate is falling, figures show. China has 1.3bn people.

The census also reveals a continuing preference for boys - India's sex ratio is at its worst since independence.

Female foeticide remains common in India, although sex-selective abortion based on ultrasound scans is illegal. Sons are still seen by many as wage-earners for the future.

Statistics show fewer girls than boys are being born or surviving. The gender imbalance has widened every decade since independence in 1947.

According to the 2011 census, 914 girls were born for every 1,000 boys under the age of six, compared with 927 for every 1,000 boys in the 2001 census.

Cut the US Post Office back ... way back

The Constitution specifies that the US have a post office... it does not specify how big or pervasive it should be. Let anyone who wants to compete with the Post Office. Scale it back to about two employees who design stamp covers.

Think os the saving to society.

Nuclear..surviving multiple natural disasters

Any dangerous technology including nuclear power generation has been given a wakeup call. Such technologies must be used in a manner that they can survive multiple strikes by nature. This of course should be weighed against a cost-benefit ratio and people will be quibbling forever about the value of a human life. I think the value of an average human life should be pegged at 2 million dollars. ( I pulled this number out of a hat based on the wildly varying values ranging from zero in some parts of the world to 1 billion dollars by the EPA )

Think about what will happen in Japan if there is another earthquake of magnitude 8 or greater. Along with resultant tsunami, we can kiss all the on-going rescue efforts goodbye.

OBAMA loves spending OPM

POTUS and world emperor Obama loves to spend other people's money. He is a careful with money as a shop-a-holic let loose with someone else's credit card.

He sets the military upon Libya ( attacking and killing and aiding unknown organizations ). The action in Libya may turn out to be one of the most embarrassing things the USG has engaged in.

Anyway... the USG has used up it's credit, it's credit limit, it's over-draft , loans from family and now it is just stealing. Stealing from US taxpayers present and future. As the leader in the USG charge , Obama ensures a place in history along with other OPM free spenders such as Bush 1 , Bush 2 , the Clintons ..........

I am an optimist ; but really how is the USA going to survive this onslaught ?

Florida Judge Orders Use of Islamic Law in Mosque Case

Tuesday, 22 Mar 2011 02:35 PM

By Newsmax Wires

TAMPA — A Tampa judge is under fire after ruling that he will follow Islamic law in a case against a local mosque that ultimately could decide who controls $2.2 million in state money.

Hillsborough Circuit Judge Richard Nielsen said he will decide in a lawsuit against a local mosque, the Islamic Education Center of Tampa, " whether the parties in the litigation properly followed the teachings of the Koran in obtaining an arbitration decision from an Islamic scholar," tampabay.com reports.

"This case will proceed under Ecclesiastical Islamic Law," the judge wrote in his March 3 ruling.

The case stems from a lawsuit filed by several male members of the mosque who say that in 2002, they were unfairly and improperly removed as trustees, the site reported. The center later received $2.2 million from the state after some of its land was used in a road project, and who controls that money is part of the lawsuit.

Tampabay.com quoted the mosque’s attorney saying his client has appealed to the 2nd District Court of Appeal challenging Nielsen’s use of religion in the case.

"The mosque believes wholeheartedly in the Koran and its teachings," attorney Paul Thanasides said. "They certainly follow Islamic law in connection with their spiritual endeavors. But with respect to secular endeavors, they believe Florida law should apply in Florida courts."

Sen. Alan Hays and Rep. Larry Metz, Florida Republicans, filed legislation to prevent Islamic law, or any foreign legal code, from being applied in state courts, tampabay.com said.

========================================
#1 The headline is a hysterical overstatement ..... the judge is going to consider the thought processes of the litigants based on their belief in Muslim law.

#2 Florida Republicans are way over the top in pressing for new legislation ..... there should be separation of the legislative and judicial bodies and this smacks of micro-management by these legislative guys.

#3 There is no state money involved. The state of Florida paid some money to the mosque in exchange for the use of some land. Unless one subscribes to the theory that all money and assets belong to the state forever , this money is clearly private money that is being disputed about.

Cost of war comments by AntiWar.com

I really love pointing out these costs ..... ( 1 , 2 , 3 are direct USA costs )

#1 1 trillion $$ per year for military ( most of this money is spent on things that don't bring happiness )
#2 Hate created for people in the USA ( even if people don't support war )
#3 Cost of repairing smashed up American soldiers

#4 Repair costs for everything that was smashed across the globe .... people , sewers, water delivery , power infrastructure , roads , buildings , .......

Lizard Brain tendencies are a fact of reality

Lizard Brain tendencies ( LBTs ) are a fact of reality ; this does not mean that phasex ( phase 2 , phase z ) entities must give LBTs any legitimacy. Rather a rational human must accept that LBTs exist and that LBTS must be dealt with .... using humour if possible.

People who are functioning at the LB level are very tribal .... hurray for our local sports team , hurray for our religion , hurray for the nation we live in ( and by extension , hurray for the USG ).

Recently , I hear a great deal of wailing about the possibility that the USA will cease to be the "leader of the free world" . I want to ask .... why would anyone care if the USA has any kind of glorious reputation. In what way does the reputation of the USA affect "Joe the plumber" ? There is no affect other than at the Lizard Brain level.

Because LBTs are so pervasive , a rational person can only laugh about them and laugh as they oppose LBTs. Join me in a good laugh.

POTUS OBAMA emperor of the free world

The fact is that no POTUS can not perform magic and create jobs , make the US leader of the free world , raise the dead , ............
All that a good POTUS can do is stay out of the way. Jobs are created by private enterprise , the free market.... Government jobs are a drag on the economy.... whether you believe that government regulation is necessary or not ; you cannot disagree that regulation is a brake ; a drag on the national economic engine.
Most of things that a POTUS can do are negative.... spend money on worthless military adventures , bailout his buddies , send presents to nations around the world , throw lavish parties .... the list goes on.

A great POTUS does very little. For those who want a bigger than life person to adore and admire , go with Brad Pitt ( or similar )   Maybe Justin Raimondo   or Richard Feynman  or Steve Jobs
